Spring 2002
TD Clark is a guitarist hailing from Illinois, rocks though twelve
exciting tracks on "Perspective". Focusing on building melodies in the tunes, TD
Clark has a good compositional sense that will also give his music to appeal
fans of non instrumental music. The cd was produced by virtuoso guitarist
Michael Angelo, and consists of mostly instrumental tunes (4 tunes out of the 12
are vocal). TD possess a strong technique and feel with a playing style that is
often reminiscent of Joe Satriani and Vinnie Moore... Interestingly, Clark can
also bring it down with tunes like "Twelve String Thing" with its ringing open
acoustic guitars, and "Still Waters" with its jazz infected melodies and chords.
Cool Stuff! But, fear not shred enthusiasts, there is plenty of scorching
electric guitar to be at hand, laced with fiery solos and scary dive-bombs.
Clark is readily assisted by Kenn Smith on Bass, Karen Kulzer on keys, and Tony
Mainiero on drums... all top notch musicians as well. Check these guys out, I
think you'll be pleasantly surprised. www.tdclark.com
